Kontakt Library SNPID List…
December 29, 2020
If you use the Native Instruments Kontakt Sampler thing you may have a collection of libraries. You may also have some Kontakt instruments that don’t have a library entry (a .nicnt file) and have perhaps made your own or sourced them from elsewhere.
If you run into trouble with SNPID duplicates or some such thing it can be a pain checking all the .nicnt files to get a list of IDs to see where the problem lies. I have created a small Win32 application that will list all Kontakt libraries in a root folder of your choice, along with the associated SNPID number. It can also export this list to a CSV file.
For now, that is all it does. I do have a .nicnt file maker application but it needs updating so I will share that when I get around to it. For now, if you need a quick way of getting a list of all your current SNPIDs then this may be just the thing.
It is free of malware etc. providing you get it from here, as if it is shared elsewhere I obviously cannot guarantee it’s integrity. The MD5 hash of the nscan.exe file is 42386100ca4656719f3b1796ff51d0bc for your reference.
Here is a link to a zipped archive containing that file: nscan.zip
